Financial Solutions
There are many ways to finance a stay with our facilities. Our social workers and administrative staff are available to help explore financial options, including:
- Individual or Group Health Insurance
- Medicare
- Medicaid
- Veteran or Fraternal Organization Benefits
- Private Pay
Long Term Placement is available when independent living is no longer feasible. It is important to determine the availability of Medicaid beds in a facility, as an option for coverage, in the event insurance or personal funds are exhausted.
Medicare, a Federal insurance program administered by the Social Security Administration, is available to persons 65 and over, persons disabled for at least two years, or persons suffering from chronic kidney disease, when all conditions are met:
- The nursing home is a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- The patient has spent at least three consecutive days in the hospital and is admitted to an SNF within thirty (30) days after discharge from the hospital
- A physician has certified that extended care in an SNF is needed for the same or related reasons for which the patient was hospitalized
- Continuous skilled and/or skilled rehabilitative services are required on a daily basis
Medicaid, is a Federal/State financed assistanceprogram for needy and low income persons of all ages. Under certain conditions, Medicaid pays for nursing home care in nursing facilities certified as skilled and intermediate care facilities. Our Admissions Department or Social Worker can help determine if your situation falls within guidelines to qualify for this assistance.
